Chartered Surveyor & Registered Valuer

David Cran is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer with over 15 years’ experience in the property sector. Since qualifying in 2011, he has built a reputation for delivering accurate, well-evidenced valuations and expert advice to a wide range of clients, including high street and challenger banks, pension funds, and private individuals. He also acts as an Expert Witness and has undertaken court-appointed valuation work.

Alongside his valuation expertise, David has significant experience in commercial agency, regularly advising clients on the acquisition and disposal of mixed-use investments, industrial units, and development land across the UK. His market knowledge, negotiation skills, and extensive professional network enable him to deliver successful outcomes for both private and institutional clients.

David became a Director at Eddisons at just 28, before moving to Duff & Phelps (now Kroll) to establish their Commercial Valuation Team. He later joined Bradley Hall, where he created and grew their Leeds office into a successful multi-disciplinary commercial property team. In 2024, he went on to establish Crans Property Consultants, where he is now actively shaping the firm’s strategy and service offering, with a focus on developing a strong, client-centred commercial property consultancy across Yorkshire.

David is recognised for his strong network of professional contacts, client-focused approach, and commitment to delivering results. He combines methodical attention to detail with excellent communication skills, ensuring clients are kept fully informed throughout each instruction. Passionate about property and business growth, he takes pride in building lasting relationships and supporting clients in achieving their objectives.

Operations Director

Ailsa Cran is Operations Director and co-founder of Crans Property Consultants. She brings a wealth of transferable skills from her diverse professional background, which spans education, social care, and property management. After qualifying as a Teacher in 2012, she went on to work within Children’s Social Care for Kirklees Council before joining Bramleys Estate Agents in their Residential Management and Lettings team. This experience provided her with valuable insight into administration, compliance, and property management — all of which are integral to her role today.

Since co-founding Crans Property Consultants in 2024, Ailsa has focused on building the operational foundations of the business. She oversees finance functions including payroll, invoicing, and credit control, ensuring the company runs smoothly and efficiently. Her strong organisational skills and attention to detail support both the internal team and client service delivery, helping to maintain high standards across the business.

Ailsa is recognised for her methodical approach, reliability, and commitment to excellence. She thrives on creating efficient systems and processes that allow the business to grow sustainably while ensuring clients receive a professional and seamless service. Alongside her operational leadership, she plays an active role in shaping the long-term strategy and growth of the company.
